Default Turbocharger or Supercharger?

I realize everyones opinion might sway depending on the application, however when comparing technologies, which do you prefer? Turbos or Superchargers?

I've had more experience with turbo charged cars. I did get a chance to take a ride in a super charged mustang and it was freakin fast. 500 hp. I love the whine it makes. I have yet to upgrade my turbo so we shall see. Maybe I'll build a supercharged car and have fun with both.

Even though a supercharger will be a heck of a lot more reliable, the turbo just makes more sense to me. Parasitic drain just never sat right with me. An engine creating its own power without losing anything is really where its at. Plus..you're options for power are so much larger than with a supercharger. If you need/want more power, its nothing a turbo change or upping the boost couldn't solve.
